In addition DoH shapes the regulatory framework for the health system, inspects against regulations, enforce standards, and encourages adoption of world – class best practices and performance targets by all healthcare service providers in the Emirate. DoH also drives programs to increase awareness and adoption of healthy living standards among the residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in addition to regulating scope of services, premiums and reimbursement rates of the health system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. DoH provides a wide range of services targeting Healthcare professionals, insurance companies, investors and the entire Abu Dhabi Community. Its services include issuing healthcare professionals licensing & examination as well as licensing insurance companies and Third Part Administrators to work in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. In addition DoH provides investors with necessary data and statistics on the healthcare landscape in the Emirate for better business decision making. Based on Abu Dhabi’s public health priorities, DoH drives programs to increase awareness and adoption of healthy living among Abu Dhabi residents through various public health campaigns and initiatives. To name few: “DoH Cancer Wave”, “Weqaya program”, “Eat Right & Get Active” and many more.
