St James's Hospital Foundation, is the fundraising arm of St James's Hospital, Dublin. St James's Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Ireland, caring for over 350,000 patients each year. It is a public hospital and excellence in patient care is our primary focus. For over 300 years, this site has provided public social and health care. But we need further investment across our facilities to transform patient care and invest in the future for our local and national community of patients and their families. The demand for our services is increasing. St. James's Hospital Foundation is the charitable wing to the hospital, with the responsibility to fundraise and also processes and disburses donations received by St. James's Hospital to achieve the best outcomes for patient care. Gifts and legacies are used to purchase equipment, improve patient comfort, support vital research and provide education and training for hospital employees.
