The UZA-UAntwerp ENT service consists of an integrated care cluster of various departments: - the clinical ENT, Head and Neck Surgery service - the University Rehabilitation Center for Communication Disorders - the Dental and Surgical Sleep Medicine department. In the clinic, our care offering includes diseases of the nose. and throat, head and neck cancer, swallowing and voice disorders, sleep difficulties, hearing loss, cochlear implantation, and other conditions such as tinnitus or hypersensitivity to sound. As an academic center, we also conduct scientific research. This fundamental and translational research is carried out by various multidisciplinary teams within the Department of Translational Neuroscience of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAntwerp. Here too, the focus is on various domains: snoring and sleep apnea, communication disorders, tinnitus, cochlear implantation, and the effects of hearing loss and loss of balance on cognition. We are also committed to developing innovative treatments for loss of balance and hearing disorders.
