Tanner Health System is a non-profit regional healthcare provider serving west Georgia and east Alabama. Tanner facilities include the 201-bed acute care Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, the 40-bed acute care Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica, the 25-bed critical access Higgins General Hospital in Bremen, the 15-bed Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama in Wedowee and the 92-bed behavioral health facility Willowbrooke at Tanner. Other Tanner services include Tanner Cancer Care, Tanner Heart Care, Tanner Urgent Care, Tanner Women’s Care, Tanner Occupational Health, Tanner Center for Sleep Disorders, Tanner Advanced Wound Center, Tanner Pain Management Center, Tanner Diagnostic Imaging, Tanner Home Health, Tanner Hospice Care and more. Tanner also operates Tanner Medical Group, one of metro Atlanta’s largest multi-specialty physician groups, consisting of 30 physician practices with specialties in cardiology and interventional cardiology, family medicine, general surgery and breast surgical oncology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, psychiatry, radiation oncology and vascular surgery. Tanner employs more than 3,000 people and offers a medical staff of more than 300 physicians representing 34 unique medical specialties practicing throughout west Georgia and east Alabama.
