Its core businesses include the production of primary processed and vaccine, poultry feed, breeding and hatchery, growing farm, slaughtering and production of further processed and value added chicken products, poultry equipment and fishmeal production. The company, formerly PT Betara Darma Ekspor Impor, was incorporated on 6 September 1985. Its current name was adopted on 27 December 1996 in preparation for its successful public listing on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
