The Ministry of Defense consists of the Royal Navy, the Royal Army, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Military Police, the Service Center Command and the Defense Material Organization. The Minister of Defense heads the Administrative Staff (the department). Three main tasks Every day, our military personnel carry out the three main tasks of Defense: • Protection of our own and allied territory, including the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. • Promotion of the international legal order and stability. • Supporting civil authorities in law enforcement, disaster relief and humanitarian assistance, both nationally and internationally.
