Bemol was founded on August 13, 1942, by Samuel, Israel and Saul Benchimol as a commercial representation company. In its first years of history it worked selling medicines and later on cereals, cement and household appliances, a branch in which it currently operates. It has become a modern and agile company, standing out as a market leader in almost every segment in which it operates: electronics, home appliances, furniture, self attending, automotive products, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, food and among others. For several years in a row, it has been identified in market and brand research as the most recalled Department Store by the population of Manaus. Since 1993, we stand out as the largest ICMS taxpayer in the state of Amazonas, in the commercial segment, It has 34 physical stores, 1 online store and 4 distribution centers located in Manaus, Porto Velho and Rio Branco.
