LD Celulose was born from a partnership between the Austrian Lenzing and the Brazilian Dexco, with the purpose of building one of the largest dissolving pulp factories in the world. Located in the Triângulo Mineiro, between the municipalities of Araguari and Indianópolis, the factory will have a production capacity of one thousand tons per year and will use raw materials from certified forests. The forest areas used by the company will have a robust monitoring and protection infrastructure. All dissolving cellulose produced will be exported to Lenzing factories, where it will be transformed into low environmental impact fiber, to be used in yarns and fabrics for clothing, as well as other applications, such as wet wipes, face masks and hygiene products. The new factory will include Triângulo Mineiro in the list of the largest dissolving pulp producers in the world and will be a factor in socioeconomic development for the entire region.
