About Humanitas
Humanitas is a highly-specialized teaching and research hospital. It is home to a cutting-edge research center (IRCCS) and hosts the Humanitas University. Humanitas promotes prevention and diagnostic services through innovative outpatient health care facilities. Its innovative organizational design is built around pathology-specific centers, rangingfrom oncological conditions (Humanitas Cancer Center), to cardiovascular, neurological and orthopedic ones. Humanitas was the first Italian hospital to be certified by Joint Commission International. Its Research Center is considered an international center of excellence for diseases related to the immune system, from cancer to rheumatoid arthritis. Humanitas Research Hospital is the flagship of a hospital group which is also present in Bergamo, Turin, Catania and Castellanza (Varese).
