Grupo Chedraui is a super Mexican company with more than years of history in the country and in the United States. It was founded in the 1920s in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, with an establishment called “Al Puerto de Beirut. Later in the year of , “Al Puerto de Beirut” changed its name to “Casa Chedraui La Única de Confianza”, thus appearing for the first time the name that has accompanied our efforts and achievements ever since. In accordance with the times of modernization and development that the country was experiencing, “Casa Chedraui” became “Almacenes Chedraui”, which symbolizes our perseverance throughout these years. Finally, in the year of , the first “Chedraui Store” was founded in the city of Xalapa. In the year, Grupo Comercial Chedraui consolidated itself as a company with a strong presence in the Mexican Stock Exchange, this being another success for us. It currently has stores in the country, having a presence in states of the Mexican Republic and in more cities, adding the stores that are in the United States. Grupo Chedraui is a solid organization backed by an extensive history of success. Since its origins, it has undertaken a firm policy of expansion and economic development in the Center, Southeast and, recently, in the Northwest of the Mexican Republic.
