GenesisCare is the largest independent provider of radiation therapy services across metropolitan Melbourne. Our philosophy is simple – immediate access/no waitlists, high quality personalised patient care, innovative radiation therapy treatments for all cancers. We maintain high quality patient care by using the most advanced state of the art technology. We treat both publicly and privately referred patients with Medicare covering 80-90% of the cost. We have a total of eight centres, with each centre equipped with the most advanced state-of-the-art technology in radiation planning and treatment, to deliver a high quality of care for patients with cancer. The GenesisCare medical team comprises some of the world’s most experienced specialists participating in research and teaching. GenesisCare adopts internationally proven medical technologies integrated with electronic healthcare records to improve patient clinical outcomes and their service experience. In 2016, GenesisCare celebrated 25 years of cancer care and has treated in excess of 150,000 patients since opening its first centre in 1991. We continue to deliver highly conformal radiation therapy, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and brachytherapy including low-dose rate seed brachytherapy and high-dose rate brachytherapy. We are also equipped to deliver stereotactic radiation therapy and use deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH) and spaceOAR techniques. Each GenesisCare centre works in partnership with surrounding private and public hospitals, referring doctors, other medical professionals and the community to provide optimal care for cancer patients.
