About FARM Rio

We’re a collective of creatives from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who believe in the existence of happiness. Since 1997, FARM Rio has translated into clothes the carioca spirit with a tropical borogodó that already became its unique signature. The most beloved Brazilian contemporary fashion brand was created by two friends, Kátia Barros and Marcello Bastos, as a small booth in an independent market that would soon become part of Rio’s lifestyle, having over 86 stores across our home country and being one of the important brands that constitute Grupo Soma, Brazil's largest fashion retail group. In 2019, our journey took us abroad. In this bright-new chapter, our prints landed in many places worldwide, starting in the United States with stores in NYC, Miami & Los Angeles, alongside the presence in top retailers, and afterward in Europe with pop-up stores in renowned department stores in Paris, London & Milan such as Le Bon Marché, Liberty, Samaritaine, Rinascente, and Net-A-Porter. Along this way, we’ve partnered with iconic brands like Adidas, Starbucks®, Levi’s®, Havaianas, and Smiley®. In more than 25 years of history, nature has been our greatest inspiration, and one of our duties is to help protect and give back to the environment. Through our sales, reforestation projects, and meaningful partnerships, we’ve already planted one million trees in all Brazilian biomes, and it’s just one more step to becoming a more sustainable company for the people and the planet.
