Daltex was founded in 1964, by the visionary Dr. A. Samir El Naggar, who managed to utilize the developments in Egypt's economical advances to be able to built on it and take the advantage that Egypt plays and what the role of Daltex has tried to be involved and be part of that development. At first, Daltex started with activities in trade by purchase & export of fruits & vegetables; mainly potatoes. Since then Daltex has grown, expanded, added new activities, applied backward & forward integration to arrive where it stands today; as a prominent distinct joint stock company renowned for the cultivation, packing and exporting of fresh fruits and vegetables with a sizeable Egyptian market share, and with clear market leadership in the export of Egyptian potatoes. From establishment to date, Daltex has proven to be a dynamic company able to maintain the value and principles it was founded on, whilst continuously revolutionizing it's operation, product range, and service scope to meet the needs of the external market, as well as the maintaining its prominent presence in the local arena.
