The “Norberto Quirno” Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research (CEMIC) is a non-profit Civil Association, Public Good and University Entity. It was born from the innovative vision of Dr. Norberto Quirno, from a group of committed disciples. This vision has made this Institution a leader and reference in the area of ​​health. Throughout its more than years of life, it has developed its mission as an Academic Medical Center based on its founding objectives: university teaching and research to improve medical care. TEACHING has been a pillar since the beginning of the organization and, since , it is channeled through the CEMIC University Institute (IUC. The degrees awarded there have national validity and international recognition. Students not only incorporate theoretical knowledge and necessary for the profession, but also learn to commit to the patient, the community and respect for life, based on the application of solid ethical and moral principles. RESEARCH, another of the founding pillars, has been maintained as essential for the improvement and updating of knowledge about health. Therefore, the support and training of researchers in all related areas has become an institutional commitment and by virtue of this and scientific production achieved, the CEMIC is an Associated Unit of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research, CONICET. Since its inception, the CEMIC has maintained the fundamental premise of providing services to the community through MEDICAL CARE, therefore, it is concerned with advancing in processes of health promotion, prevention and treatment of disease, in search of a better quality of life.
