As a leading independent exploration and production company listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 00467.HK), United Energy Group Limited (UEG) is primarily engaged in exploration, development, production and operation of upstream oil and natural gas, renewable energy resources development, and other energy related businesses. With its headquarters in Hong Kong and operation and management center in Beijing, UEG has built presences in Pakistan, Middle East, North Africa and other areas worldwide with about 1,800 employees. In 2011, UEG acquired British Petroleum’s Pakistani assets and has made significant investments since then to improve operation management, resulting in rapid growth on both production and reserves. In 2018, UEG acquired Asia Resources Oil Limited’s and OMV Group’s Pakistan assets. While continuously increasing its oil & gas production and reserves volumes, UEG has been making on-going efforts to further strengthen its exploration and production capability. At present, with 19 onshore exploration and production blocks in Pakistan, a total area of oil and gas fields of about 20,000 square kilometers and daily output of more than 100,000 barrels, UEG has become the largest foreign-invested oil exploration and production company in Pakistan. UEG has been awarded by Pakistani government for multiple times for its contribution to local economic development and support in community education and health care. Today, UEG has become a successful representation of Chinese companies “Going Overseas” and a model of China’s enterprises making investment in Pakistan. In September 2018, UEG announced its acquisition of Kuwait Energy Company (KEC), which will enable UEG to further expand in the Middle East market by taking over KEC's 10 premium quality oil and gas blocks in Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and Oman. After this acquisition, UEG has successfully made itself one of the medium-sized international independent oil and gas company.
