Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) Limited is one of India's pioneering agri-nutrient and fertiliser companies. A market leader, SPIC is among the most recalled agri brands in rural India and highly trusted by the Indian farmer. SPIC is one of India's first petrochemical companies with a focus on fertilisers. The company started as a joint venture between Dr M A Chidambaram and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a state-owned industrial development institution, on 18th Dec 1969. It was founded with the vision to produce high-quality and environment-friendly fertilisers that improve the country's agricultural output with scientific rigour. Our state-of-the-art modern fertiliser complex, producing 6.2 lakh tons of Neem Coated Urea, another 6.4 Lakh tons of Phosphatics is a torchbearer of Atmanirbhar Bharat’s progress towards national farm productivity and food sufficiency. The unit manufactures a range of chemical fertilisers, industrial products and does marketing of micronutrients and secondary nutrients. We are honoured to be the custodians of an ecosystem of farmers and other agri intermediaries, partnering with them on each step of the farm production process. Over five decades since its founding, SPIC continues to empower Indian farmers and agriculturists with products that increase farm productivity and yield while simultaneously replenishing soil health.
