About Sovereign Food Invts
Sovereign has a proud history of chicken farming in the Eastern Cape, dating all the way back to 1948. The company was started as a family business in the Rocklands Valley near the town of Uitenhage and over time grew into a fully-fledged and integrated poultry business. Today Sovereign remains one of the major poultry producers in Africa. Whilst being the 4th largest producer in South Africa, it is still firmly tied to its local roots in the Eastern Cape and is proud to be one of the biggest financial and social contributors to the region. As a business focused on producing quality products, it will continue to provide exciting meal solutions for consumers all over South Africa and abroad.
