Founded in 1998 by ETPM (which later became Acergy and now since 2011 Subsea7), Sonangol and Wapo, Sonamet Yard is located in Angola's Lobito bay. Sonamet mission is to deliver state-of-the-heart Fabrication and Survey to Oil & Gas companies for Shallow and Deepwater projects such as Girassol, Kizomba, Greater Plutonio, Pazflor, CLOV, Mafumeira, South Nemba and more recently Kaombo. Through the years, Sonamet has also built a solid experience in EPC Shallow water projects in Mafumeira Norte and Congo River Crossing (CRX). Taking the "Made in Angola" approach to its work, Sonamet goal is to actively participate in the transfer of technology for the Angolan industry by supporting the emergence of the industry in Angola and mainly in Lobito, Benguela region.
