The hospital is the only Level III Trauma Center in eastern Puget Sound. The hospital is distinguished for its cardiac services and its award winning surgical services. We have been ranked as one of the top 100 heart care programs in the country and are rated as a top performer in the state of Washington. The hospital has received many awards and recognitions, both regionally and nationally. Overlake was originally started in 1960 by community volunteers, and still depends upon volunteers to support the operations of the hospital.
