About Minuano

Founded by Norberto Jaeger in , Companhia Minuano de Alimentos, emerged as a small paper packaging and typography factory. In , he changed branches and entered poultry farming. In the 1990s, it became one of the largest poultry meat producing companies in Brazil, and participated in the founding of the Brazilian Association of Chicken Producers and Exporters (Abef, which would become the Brazilian Poultry Union (Ubabef) in . In , the Minuano acquired a sausage factory in Arroio do Meio, supplied with raw material from integrated producers' poultry slaughtering units. A decade later, Minuano expanded its portfolio and entered pig farming, purchasing two slaughtering and sausage production units in Santa Catarina. The attempt ended up frustrated, and the factories closed. Since then, the company preferred to concentrate its business on chickens. Currently, Minuano is a verticalized operation in poultry integration, having everything from breeding farms to production and slaughter of birds, guaranteeing the quality in each part of the process.The industrial park is made up of an industrial products factory, hatchery, breeding farms, two poultry slaughterhouses and a feed factory. With its poultry operations focused on providing services to third parties, the company is moving towards reinvigorating its brand in the domestic market by focusing its energy on the sausage production operation, reaffirming the strength of its image and recognition among consumers.
