Ismail Industries Ltd (IIL) happens to be one of the largest manufacturers in Pakistan, founded in 1989 as a Public Limited Company. The company initially produced high quality of sugar confectionery products under the brand name CandyLand, covering Candies, Jellies, Bubble Gums, Toffees, Chew Toffees, Lollipops, Chocolates and Marshmallows. Having one of the most advanced and sophisticated technologies in the country, Candyland continues to work on product improvement and innovation, keeping in view the changing customer tastes and demands. In 2002, IIL launched a biscuit line under the brand name Bisconni. After just less than two years since launch, has established itself as a major player in the biscuit industry in Pakistan. IIL has further invested in manufacturing capacity to increase the production capacity as well as the capabilities to manufacture a wider variety of biscuits. Snack City is IIL’s latest expansion in food items. The company has invested in world’s best machinery to manufacture Real Potato Chips and other snacks. IIL has pursued a strategy of backward integration and portfolio diversification with the establishment of Astro Pack, a unit for manufacturing of Cast Polypropylene. It is the first major venture outside the Food Industry. The CPP film produced are use in the packaging of CandyLand, Bisconni and SnackCity products and also sold to both local and international market. IIL happens to be the largest exporter of confectionery in the country. Our products are sold in more than 40 countries inclusive of USA, Europe, Middle East and so on. In order to maintain competitiveness in global markets, IIL has also achieved “ISO-9001” and “ISO-22000” Certification along with “SANHA” Certification considering growing Halal market in the modern world.
