The company has four divisions: Hydro-Québec Production Hydro-Québec Production produces electricity and markets it on wholesale markets in Quebec and outside Quebec. Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie operates the largest electricity transmission network in North America for the benefit of its customers in Quebec and outside Quebec. Hydro-Québec Distribution Hydro-Québec Distribution ensures Quebecers a reliable energy supply. Beyond the annual volume of heritage electricity supplied by Hydro-Québec Production, it obtains its supplies from the markets. It strives to ensure that its customers use electricity efficiently. Hydro-Québec Équipement and the Société d'énergie de la Baie James, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, are the prime contractors for the construction projects of Hydro-Québec Production and Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie.
