In 2008, we started an organized purchase of milk in the Zagreb area, and today we are the largest milk purchaser in Croatia. We are dedicated to every liter of milk produced, and we collect fresh milk of the best quality throughout Lijepa Naša. Thus, our tankers, which transport fresh raw milk from the farms of our subcontractors to our dairies in Zagreb, Karlovac and Bjelovar, are seen every day on highways, local and rural roads in almost every corner of Croatia - even in Croatian counties. More than a percent of the milk we buy comes from two counties: Osijek-Baranja and Bjelovar-Bilogor. The farmers there have been trusting us from generation to generation. Dukat milk was the first to carry the label "Milk of Croatian farms", which guarantees consumers domestic origin and the best quality of milk. Today we cooperate with approx. large, medium-sized and small milk producers throughout the country, and we buy about a million kg of fresh raw milk per year, or a percentage of the milk offered for purchase. We are proud that today small milk producers make up even one percent of our milk suppliers. Because, by supporting and strengthening small family farms, we encourage the development of dairy farming, the stay of young people in the countryside and the sustainability of life in rural parts of the country.
