About Conicet

The National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) is the main organization dedicated to the promotion of science and technology in Argentina. Its activity is carried out in four large areas: • Agricultural, engineering and materials sciences • Biological and health sciences • Exact and natural sciences • Social sciences and humanities At CONICET, we also promote and manage the transfer of technologies, services and capabilities of Research and Development (R&D) generated by its scientific community towards the socio-productive sectors, SMEs, Governments, public organizations and civil society. In that sense: • We connect highly specialized human resources with entrepreneurs to generate joint opportunities. • We promote participation with chambers and business associations, technology and industrial parks, state agencies, NGOs, civil organizations, and national and international technological linkage networks. • We facilitate the transfer to the productive sector through scaling processes, proofs of concept, among others. • We promote the creation of Technology-Based Companies. CONICET is an autonomous entity of the National State under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
