It is a non-profit Charitable Organization, which operates in the area of ​​blood therapy, promoting the recruitment of donors, collection, analysis and processing of blood and, subsequently, the distribution of blood components, as well as pre-transfusion procedures. It was founded in August, by Dr. Othon Barcellos, together with a group of friends, whose objective was to provide a service to the community by supplying blood needs free of charge, according to the minutes signed by the President of the Republic, Juscelino Kubitschek. VISION To be a center of excellence, nationwide, in the area of ​​hemotherapy. MISSION Cooperate in solving the problem of lack of blood in public and philanthropic hospitals, promoting the collection, processing, distribution and transfusion of blood and its derivatives. Stimulate scientific research in the health area, as well as collaborate with UNIFESP's teaching activity.
