Ali Raif was founded under the name of Ali Raif ve Şeriki (Ali Raif and Associate) in 1928. Then company was reorganized in order to trade in pharmaceuticals industry by Muzaffer Turhan in 1963. Since 1983, the company has had operations under the name of Ali Raif Pharmaceutical Inc. Co. Ali Raif was marketing pharmaceuticals as a licensee of multinational companies in the early years of its foundation. Then the company became one of the leading companies of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry starting to import finished pharmaceuticals and to produce and market generic pharmaceuticals. After Ali Raif commenced generic pharmaceuticals licensing, producing and marketing, export opportunities started to arise in parallel to them. Export activities started with Azerbaijan and Georgia has enlarged with EU countries in 2003. Since 2005 they have speeded up greatly. The countries that have been export are England, Portugal, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Georgia, The Philippines, Bulgaria, Spain, Algeria, and Poland. Ali Raif has nearly 100 pharmaceuticals with their forms in therapeutic fields such as cardiovascular, diabetics, gastrointestinal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-flu, antihistaminic, central nervous system. Headquarters and production facilities are located in İkitelli, İstanbul, has totally 10 regional offices in Turkey.
