Sovereign Trustees Limited (STL) is the pension trustee company of the law firm Addleshaw Goddard LLP. We have been providing specialist independent trustee services to pension schemes since 2001. We can and do provide any combination of the following trustee services: - appointment as a professional independent trustee on a permanent or temporary basis; - specific appointment as independent chair of a pension scheme's trustee board; - a range of trustee secretarial services; and - independent trustee and trustee secretarial services to life assurance schemes. All directors of STL are pensions lawyers within the Pensions Team at Addleshaw Goddard LLP. As well as being experienced pensions lawyers, most of STL's directors have many years' experience of acting as independent trustee directors. We have acted as independent trustee to a wide range of pension schemes (including DC, DB, CARE and GAD certified schemes) with a wide range of sponsoring employers. We have experience of dealing with the Pensions Regulator on DC governance issues and DC scheme funding and clearance issues. Acting as a professional trustee we have project managed and implemented numerous and wide ranging DB and DC governance policies and protocols for the schemes we've been appointed to as independent trustee. We have also managed and implemented buy out / buy in, liability management, de-risking, investment strategy reviews and other scheme change projects.
