A2A is the Italian Life Company that deals with the environment, water and energy and, thanks to the circular use of natural resources, takes care of the necessary conditions for life and quality thereof. Listed on Borsa Italiana (the Italian Stock Exchange), with over 12,000 employees, A2A is a leader in Italy in the environmental sector, from separate waste collection to integrated waste management and the recovery of materials and energy, according to a circular economy model that transforms waste into resources. The second largest operator in Italy in terms of installed capacity, A2A guarantees the flexibility and efficiency necessary to meet the different energy needs of Italy thanks to a careful diversification of the sources of energy supply, the technologies used and the geographical distribution of the plants. In fact, A2A is geographically present across Italy and in particular in Lombardy, where it has its registered office (Brescia) and management office (Milan), but also in Campania, Sicily, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Piedmont and in several other Italian regions where its plants are located. The Group also manages the sale and distribution of electricity and gas, the integrated water cycle, district heating, electric mobility, public lighting, energy efficiency work and solutions for the development of Smart Cities. With a 10-year strategic plan in which sustainability directs the strategy, A2A envisages 16 billion euro in capex by 2030 dedicated to the development of the circular economy and the energy transition, to provide a practical contribution to the achievement of 11 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030.
