A new equilibrium for hybrid work
In “America’s offices are now half-full. They may not get much fuller,” The Washington Post examines why office occupancy may be approaching a longer-term plateau rather than returning to pre-pandemic norms.
“I think we must be headed toward some new equilibrium,” Zweig told The Washington Post. “Companies are becoming a lot more explicit about whether they’re remote first or hybrid or in-person, and employees can sort of select into those companies.”
As companies clarify their workplace models, workers can increasingly factor those policies into where they choose to work, making flexibility another dimension of competition for talent.
