From committed to the well-being of people. With more than forty years of experience, we are recognized as a leading global foundation for our commitment to people's well-being and social progress. Our mission, as a non-profit institution created by MAPFRE, is to contribute to the improvement of people's quality of life and the progress of society through multinational programs and activities. At Fundación MAPFRE we are aware that only by understanding the new realities of this changing world will we be able to continue advancing in this global project that is articulated in different areas of action. To fulfill our purposes, we carry out a wide range of activities around the world through five areas that have a common objective: our responsible commitment to society. The five areas in which our activities are articulated are: Social Action, Culture, Health Promotion, Prevention and Road Safety, and Social Security and Insurance. To achieve our objectives we collaborate with a large number of national and international public and private institutions, NGOs, museums, foundations and associations with purposes similar to ours. To help strengthen foundational work, we belong to the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF), a private and independent association at national level, which brings together Spanish foundations of the most diverse dimensions, purposes and areas of action. We work with AEF to develop and strengthen our sector and achieve the best fulfillment of the founding purposes for the benefit of society as a whole.
