Takeaways:

  • While healthcare skills are in greater demand, the coronavirus has clearly had a negative impact on the greater job market, as demand has fallen for every other skill group.
  • Perhaps ironically, even positions that can be done remotely (and that have previously been in high demand), such as engineering, coding, finance, are still seeing a significant decrease from a year ago.
  • Foundational skills such as teaching, construction, and real estate, are experiencing smaller decreases than the broader market, suggesting that the economy is adapting well to a scarce environment.
