Josef Rupp II paved the way for the popularity and success of Enzian Käsle and other spreadable cheeses by Rupp. His wife, Gertrud Rupp, continued her husband's mission with a series of clever and visionary decisions. Today, the company is run by the third generation of the Rupp family and has grown to become a global player. The Alma brand has been part of Rupp since . It sells mountain cheese produced by around the mountain dairies in Vorarlberg and runs four of its own dairies located in Pfändestock and Bregenzerwald.
