Medical Facilities holds controlling interest in four specialty surgical hospitals located in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and South Dakota. Medical Facilities’ hospitals focus on a limited number of high volume, non-emergency surgical, diagnostic and imaging procedures. The case mix at each hospital is a function of the clinical specialties of the physicians on the medical staff and the equipment and infrastructure at each facility. Orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures represent a large portion of the case volumes at the hospitals. Medical Facilities also holds interest in ambulatory surgery centers located in Arkansas, California, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon and Pennsylvania. The centers perform a broad range of outpatient procedures, with patient stays of less than 24 hours.
