Twenty years later, he formed a small survey operation in Whistler under the name Robert B. Brown & Associates, together with his son, Brian Brown. Brian received his B.C.L.S. commission in 1982, achieving the Association of BC Land Surveyors’ Gold Medal Award for highest overall mark. After Bob’s passing in 1986, Brian carried on his father’s legacy, incorporating in 1993 as R.B. Brown Land Surveying Ltd. The 2014 merger with McElhanney allows Brian and his team to offer R.B. Brown Land Surveying Ltd. clients a wider range of services, including surveying, engineering, mapping, planning, and environmental, that support complete project solutions, from start-up through completion.
