The School of Adaptation to Welding Professions (EAPS) and the Higher School of Welding and its Applications (ESSA) train the welding technicians and engineers of tomorrow. Classic and apprenticeship route. The Institut de Soudure Group brings together in Lorraine, alongside the technical welding center, two higher education schools in welding. The Higher School of Welding and its Applications (ESSA) trains engineers in one year for the highest positions of welding coordination. ESSA delivers two diplomas: - the ESSA engineering diploma, recognized by the Commission for Engineering Qualifications (CTI), - the International Welding Engineer diploma (IWE, issued by the French Welding Association (AFS, under the authority of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and recognized in more than countries. The Welding Professions Adaptation School (EAPS) trains qualified personnel in one year for the manufacture of welded equipment, technical assistance and commercial support. The EAPS issues two diplomas: - the EAPS certificate of Coordinator in welding and welded construction, - the International Welding Technologist diploma (IWT, issued by the French Welding Association (AFS, under the authority of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and recognized in more countries. Through apprenticeship, EAPS also delivers the University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. Course: Innovation for industry, issued by the University of Lorraine and the IUT of Metz. The schools are an integral part of the Institut de Soudure Group and benefit, through the technical center and R&D platforms, from a privileged scientific and technological environment: laboratories, test benches, pilot installations, IT resources, etc.
