Blausiegel emerged as a small condom importer, the result of the vision and entrepreneurship of its founder, Marcelo R. Hahn. In principle, it operated in some rooms at Ariston Laboratories, a prestigious pharmaceutical company with more than four decades of presence in the South American market. Over time, Blausiegel developed, invested in technology and in the creation of a differentiated line of products, among which we can highlight oncology products. With this, it achieved a prominent position among the main pharmaceutical industries in Brazil. In , after composing its operating strategy and with the aim of facilitating its communication with the market, Blausiegel changed its brand to Blau Farmacêutica. Currently, Blau develops an extensive line of hospital and pharmaceutical products, in addition to being a pioneer in the development of recombinant protein products, producing biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars for sale in Brazil and export to several countries such as Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Azerbaijan, Dominican Republic, Pakistan, Yemen, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and many others. In recent years, Blau began its internationalization with the purchase of Laboratoires Sumimed, in Bogotá, Colombia, which became Blau Farmacêutica Colombia, and, recently, with the purchase of the company Ganden in Uruguay, which became Blau Farma Uruguay. Therefore, Blau hopes to continue growing and developing more and more to offer the Brazilian market and the world quality medicines at more affordable costs and, thus, continue contributing to improving people's quality of life.
