BIO FARMA is a state-owned company that specializes in producing vaccines and sera. Bio Farma was founded by the Dutch Government in August in Jakarta under the name PARC VACCINOGEN. In line with the increase in production activities, this institution shifted the center of its production activities to Bandung, precisely located on Jalan Pasteur no - next to the Hasan Sadikin Hospital. When the Indonesian archipelago was occupied by Japan ( - , this institution was taken over by the Japanese Government, and its name changed to BANDUNG BOEKI KENKYUSHOO. Bio Farma products consist of, BCG vaccine, DTP-HB vaccine, DT vaccine, Td vaccine, Hepatitis B vaccine, Polio vaccine, Measles vaccine, Influenza vaccine, anti-snake venom serum, anti-diphtheria serum, anti-tetanus serum. As a state-owned company, Bio Farma dedicates itself to Fulfilling domestic vaccine needs. Bio Farma exports its products to the country for the remaining capacity that is not absorbed by domestic needs.
