Beijer Byggmaterial AB is the name of Wolseleys/DT Group’s Swedish chain of builders’ merchants. The story of Beijer Byggmaterial began in 1866 with the opening of Firma G Beijer in Malmö, Sweden. Over the years, Beijer has evolved from a small business importing, among other things, chemicals, iron and metal to a chain of builders’ merchants serving professional builders, contractors, small industrial enterprises as well as private consumers. All stores in the Beijer chain have, since 2002, carried the name Beijer Byggmaterial.
