Casa Baglioni Milan, which opened its doors in February 2023, represents the latest gem in our collection of City Hotels (other locations include Rome, Florence, Venice and London.) Our History In the early 70s, Roberto Polito was sent to the Tuscan coast to develop a resort for a Swiss company. He fell in love with the Tuscan region at first sight. By the time the partnership ended, Roberto had determined his next venture, and in 1974, he opened Baglioni Resort Punta Ala. Over the next several decades, Mr. and Mrs. Polito and their children, built a collection of boutique city hotels and resorts throughout Italy. In 2011 Guido Polito was appointed as CEO by his father, Roberto. He subsequently went on to personally develop Baglioni Hotel London and the most recent Baglioni Resorts in the Maldives, Sardinia, and Puglia.  Baglioni Hotels & Resorts looks to expand globally with Guido Polito as Managing Director. We've formed a financial partnership with Palace Resorts, known for their luxury properties in Mexico and Jamaica. Together, we'll continue representing the best of Italian hospitality on an international scale.
