There are tremendous uncertainties ahead as COVID-19 continues to affect society. One question that is receiving particular interest is how companies will develop and distribute a vaccine once it is discovered.

At Revelio Labs, we can identify the workforce compositions of companies and in lieu of this question have decided to focus on which companies are best positioned to make scientific advancements.

Through tracking the headcount of employees across all major companies, we have identified a list of companies with the most scientists. As seen below, Pfizer leads the pack with over 36% more scientists than 2nd place:

While number of scientists alone are not necessarily predictive of advancements — employee prestige, area of study, and time at company should also be considered — the workforce composition of companies is critical to understanding a company's ability to execute on its strategy.
