The Youngstown State University Procurement Technical Assistance Center (YSU PTAC) supports the economic growth of existing businesses entering the local, state, and federal government contracting markets, by providing consulting services and training programs. YSU PTAC prides itself on connecting companies in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties with significant business opportunities in government procurement. YSU PTAC leverages its expertise and network of resources through student interns & graduate assistants working at the Center, and student/faculty class projects in the Williamson College of Business Administration. YSU PTAC is among the premier economic development agencies in the area, located in collaboration with the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Export Assistance Network (EAN) at Youngstown State University. PTAC services include: - Determining Your Company’s Suitability for Government Contracting - Securing Necessary Entity Registrations & Certification Eligibility - Developing Capability Statements - Identifying Bid Opportunities - Troubleshooting Contract Performance Issues - Providing SBIR/STTR Assistance YSU PTAC is partially funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, the Ohio Development Services Agency and Youngstown State University through the Williamson College of Business Administration. It is part of a network of Centers throughout the country.
