The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for the overall long-term infrastructure planning of road traffic, rail traffic, shipping and aviation. Our mission also includes construction, operation and maintenance of state roads and railways. We are community developers who plan for the entirety of the integrated transport system. In order for society to develop, transport must work. Increased accessibility is becoming increasingly important. Our mission means that we are the ones who ensure on a daily basis that roads and railway tracks are passable, that meeting-free roads are built, that railway stations are adapted for the disabled, that combi terminals are developed, that travelers and road users receive fast and relevant traffic information, that driver's license tests are carried out and everything else that required to manage and develop smart infrastructure. The goal is an accessible and safe transport system that takes the environment and health into account. To reach the goal, we need to work closely together with the rest of society. Together, we can make life easier throughout Sweden.
