The General Ports Authority was established in the year AD, and we, at Mawani, aim to organize the management of Saudi ports, supervise their operation, and work to prepare them as an investment attraction and develop them in a way that supports trade in the Kingdom and the development of the national economy by setting the necessary rules for port management in accordance with the best international systems and methods. We also seek To ensure an effective and reliable regulatory and commercial environment, enhance the regulatory character of the Authority and its operational model, and enable growth and innovation in the Kingdom’s maritime system. We also seek, in Mawani’s vision, to develop a sustainable and prosperous maritime sector to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and enable our economic and social ambitions by contributing to making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia A pioneer in the port ecosystem, to be supported by reliable and efficient operations and a safe and sustainable environment, while creating economic and social value with our partners, enhancing innovation, and developing leading industrial capabilities in order to achieve the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy in accordance with the Saudi vision. Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) was established to oversee the operations of the Saudi ports. Since its inception, Mawani has been keen on transforming the Saudi ports into investment platforms, and facilitating the Kingdom’s trade with the rest of the world. The Authority seeks to achieve an effective regulatory and commercial environment supported by an operating model that enables growth and innovation in the Kingdom’s maritime industry.
