About ERG Africa
Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) is a leading diversified natural resources group. It has a portfolio of production assets and development projects in 15 countries, and is represented by more than 75,000 people globally. ERG Africa operates all ERG’s assets on the African continent and has a workforce of around 3,500. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), ERG Africa mines and processes copper and cobalt ore and produces copper and cobalt hydroxide. Its assets include Frontier mine and Metalkol Roan Tailings Reclamation (RTR), a major tailings reprocessing operation. Metalkol RTR has become the world’s second largest standalone cobalt producer and is also a large producer of copper. ERG Africa's development assets span South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Mali. Our portfolio comprises a variety of projects in different stages of development, and focuses on a range of minerals, such as PGMs (platinum group metals), fluorspar, manganese, bauxite and coal. SABOT, a leading cross-border road haulier in the Southern and Central African region, also forms part of its operations.
