The Araújo Jorge | Cancer Hospital is a privately profitable philanthropic institution that is dedicated to combating cancer. Founded by by Alagoas doctor Dr. Alberto Augusto de Araújo Jorge, with the support of the Rotary Club of Goiânia, Araújo Jorge is currently a National Cancer Treatment Center, which also develops prevention and research actions in the cancer area. Araújo Jorge, being a philanthropic institution, should, due to legal requirements, meet at least % of their patients through SUS - Unified Health System, but in reality there are units and services of the institution that perform more than % of its procedures through the SUS.
