Senior Technical Recruiter

Remote · Full Time · Recruiting · Experienced

About Revelio Labs:

Revelio Labs builds workforce intelligence products powered by large-scale, real-world labor market data. We collect, standardize, enrich, and serve data about companies, employees, job postings, skills, compensation, sentiment, and workforce movement so our customers can understand how organizations and labor markets change over time.

Our customers include investors, corporate strategists, HR teams, academics, and governments. They rely on Revelio because we turn fragmented, noisy, fast-changing raw data into trustworthy datasets, metrics, and products. That requires hiring people who can reason from first principles, operate in ambiguity, and find creative ways through unusually difficult technical problems.

Overview:

We are hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to own and improve technical recruiting at Revelio Labs.

This is not a role where you inherit a polished recruiting machine. Revelio is a growing startup with ambitious technical hiring needs and a recruiting process that is still early in its development. The right person will be excited by the chance to turn a scrappy recruiting process into a disciplined, continuously improving system for identifying and hiring exceptional technical talent.

About the role:

You will own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles across engineering, data science, infrastructure, and economics.

You will work closely with founders and technical leaders to define what great looks like, build high-signal sourcing strategies, run disciplined candidate processes, and help the company make good hiring decisions. A major part of the job is understanding the difference between candidates who can list the right tools and candidates who have deep engineering judgment, strong fundamentals, and the ability to learn quickly.

The labor market for technical talent is changing quickly. AI has made resumes, portfolios, and interview signals noisier. We are looking for someone who has strong opinions about how recruiting strategy and hiring processes need to evolve in that environment, and who wants to build a process that can identify real ability through the noise.

You will also have an unusual advantage: Revelio’s own data provides detailed real-time insights into the labor market itself. We want our recruiting function to benefit from the same kinds of signals we help our customers understand: career trajectories, skills, company movement, labor market structure, compensation, and where exceptional talent is likely to emerge.

That does not mean recruiting becomes automated or purely data-driven. It means the right person will have a chance to help build a recruiting system that combines human judgment, strong technical calibration, and unusually rich labor-market data. For someone who is thoughtful about where technical recruiting is going, this should be a very interesting place to build.

What you’ll do:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles across engineering, data science, infrastructure, and economics.
  • Build Revelio’s technical recruiting operation into a more structured, repeatable, and continuously improving system.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and translate ambiguous hiring needs into practical search strategies.
  • Source and engage candidates with backgrounds in software engineering, data engineering, distributed systems, machine learning, statistics, economics, and data science.
  • Learn enough about Revelio’s products, data systems, and technical challenges to explain the work credibly to candidates.
  • Help identify candidates with strong fundamentals, first-principles reasoning, and high long-term potential, even when their resumes do not follow a conventional path.
  • Build processes that distinguish real technical depth from surface-level familiarity with tools, frameworks, or buzzwords.
  • Stay close to how AI is changing technical recruiting, candidate evaluation, outbound strategy, and hiring signals.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles.
  • Strong sourcing ability and comfort building outbound pipelines from scratch.
  • Experience recruiting for engineering, data science, data engineering, infrastructure, machine learning, or similarly technical roles.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical hiring needs and translate them into candidate profiles, search strategies, and candidate-facing narratives.
  • Good instincts for recognizing technical depth, learning velocity, intellectual honesty, and candidates who can punch above their experience level.
  • Strong written communication skills, including candidate outreach that is specific, accurate, and compelling.
  • Excellent judgment around candidate quality, process design, hiring manager alignment, and when a search needs to be recalibrated.
  • High agency and ownership: you keep searches moving, surface risks early, bring order to ambiguous situations, and drive toward outcomes without needing much management.
  • A systems mindset: you naturally ask how each search can improve the next one, and how recruiting processes should evolve as the company grows.
  • Curiosity about technical domains such as distributed systems, unsupervised modeling, and hardware-level optimization.

Bonus points:

  • You have worked as an engineer, data scientist, or in another technical role in the past.
  • You have recruited for roles involving large-scale data systems, distributed systems, ML/NLP, economics, or performance-sensitive engineering.
  • You have a strong network of engineers, data scientists, or technical builders you can draw on.
  • You have experience being the first recruiting hire, first technical recruiting hire, or an early member of a recruiting team at a growing company.
  • You have strong views on how AI is changing recruiting, candidate evaluation, and the technical hiring market.

How we work:

We value ownership, clear thinking, and people who like building systems that solve real problems. For this role, the problem is straightforward to state and hard to solve: Revelio needs a reliable talent engine that can find people who will do exceptional work here, identify them earlier than others do, and move them through a hiring process that is fast, thoughtful, and high-signal.

This role is a strong fit for someone who is relentlessly curious about how to make that engine better. You should want to understand which signals actually predict success, where strong candidates are being missed, and what creates unnecessary friction. You will collaborate closely with technical leaders, but you will be expected to bring your own judgment, momentum, and ideas.

If you are excited by technical recruiting, early-stage ownership, and the chance to build a hiring system that becomes foundational to a fast-growing company, we’d like to meet you.
